Let us make it a Happy Teach-Her’s Day!

No duty in this world can overpower the duty of a teacher. We know, had there been no teachers the human race could have been uncultivated and uncivilized. This word ‘Teacher’ is not only a representative of those extraordinary human beings who feed academic grains to the ineffectual human brains but all those people in our life who intentionally or unintentionally influence our life and teach us the correct ways of doing things. 5th September, every year, is the day to thank all those mentors, and is, therefore, celebrated as National Teacher’s Day.

But today, along with thanking the teachers for making us collared intellectuals, we must vision the concept with another perspective. This teacher’s day must be more of a Teach-her day. She is a daughter, a sister, a mother, a human being with dreams and ambitions and above all, a teacher herself. But, despite her performing all the legitimate roles in the society, she is devoid of her basic rights today. Nature has created both the genders equally human. Then why should we probe, the other alleged half of the support system, in every field and doubt their capabilities? Let us, join hands this day, and cheer the remarkable woman-league, along with extending our gratitude to the following shining stars:

1.P. V. Sindhu and Sakshi Malik

Breaking the stereotypes, both of them have made India immensely proud by securing medals in the Rio Olympics. These are those who teach us to believe in ourself and to not to be afraid of failures.

2.Dr. Kiran Bedi

She is the lady with substance and sheer intelligence. She had been inspiring the nation to value time and sharpening the intellectual to bang the hypocrisy in the world and take stands fearlessly. Being the First woman to join Officer ranks in the IPS, she has lauded that there is no such place where a girl does not belong.

3.Hon. Pratibha Patil

The first ever Female President in the History of India, Mrs. Pratibha Patil has been an answer to the staunch patriarch, who claim that women can not run the diplomacy. She is a representative of a poised Indian woman, who can rule the world with their determination and will power.

4.Late Kalpana Chawla

The daughter of India, who became the first Indian woman in space taught the world, there are no such doors made, that a girl can not open. She is an example of how fearless and dedicated a girl should be to achieve her dreams and touch the skies.

5.Ms. Chanda Kochhar

The Managing Director and CEO of the India’s Largest Private Bank, ICICI Bank, is an influential legend in the field of Finance and Banking. She teaches the world to be afraid of the power of a woman’s brain that can conquer almost anything with her hard-work.

6.Mother Earth, Mother Nature and to mention less, our Mothers

Have we ever thought, why we personify the nature as ‘mother’ nature or Earth as ‘Mother’ Earth? This is because these are just as live giving and nurturing just as our mothers. We can not thank enough these unsung heroes who work day and night selflessly for us.

The contribution of these stars must not be overlooked. So, cross your heart and make a promise to self, to raise a girl and teach a girl not only to be perfect but to be brave and independent. Let her outshine the spirit of girlhood and be a supporting network for them.”Beti Bachao, Beti padhao”!
