Repair, Refurbish And Revive

“Scratches on your favorite chair, water marks left behind on your mahogany finish coffee table, cigarette burn on your beautiful center table or any piece of your furniture looking dull or faded its charm.”- These are some of the worst nightmares possible. The sad part is that it happens. Quality wood furniture is significant and is expected to last for generations. To ensure attractive appearance and long life, you’ll need to take a certain amount of care and maintenance.

Your custom furniture from Wooden Street is constructed to last for years to come; all you need to do is take some care of it. There are plenty of home remedies for taking care of your wooden furniture. Scroll down and check them out.

1. Lost lustre and Scratched Surfaces:

Tackling scratched and dull surfaces is a hefty task but you can make your own way. Take one part white vinegar and three parts of olive oil and apply it using a microfiber cloth. It will remove scratches and restore its formal glory in no time.

2. Water Marks:

Don’t panic when steamed cup of coffee/coffee or sloshed water mar your favorite piece of wooden furniture with unwanted marks. Your solution is in your vanity, Petroleum Jelly. Apply a layer of Petroleum jelly to the affected area and leave it overnight. Rub it with cotton in the morning and, voilà! It looks like it never happened.

3. Cigarette Burns:

Got smokers in the house and cigarette burn marks on the table? Don’t worry; make a paste of baking soda and water. Rub the affected areas with this paste using a damp sponge until the marks don’t reduce further. You may be able to eliminate them entirely.

4. Marker Marks:

Permanent marker ink can ruin the entire look of your furniture and is hard to remove. Fortunately, these stains can be removed easily with toothpaste. Apply toothpaste (avoid the gel ones) directly on the marks. Rinse the rag you used with water and rub the wood surface until the toothpaste is no longer visible. The marker stain should no longer be there.
