Today, we are sharing some glimpses of the journey of a seasoned Sheesham wood to a polished furniture unit, ready to be dispatched to our customers.
The very first and the most important step in this procedure is cutting seasoned wood cautiously according to the requirements. There is an art in operating the machinery, watching and listening to the wood carefully in order to carve out the desired shape. It is important to use Seasoned wood as it has the optimum levels of moisture to ensure that the wood doesn’t expand later in its life.
The precisely cut components of the furniture go to the next level where skilled craftsmen prepare them as necessary before sanding and assembly. At this point, artisans, expert in the fields as they are, delicately shape and carve out intricate patterns on the wood, where required, or turn large blocks into sumptuous legs for tables.
Once all the individual parts are ready, the assembly begins, joining each component carefully in a seamless manner, through mortise-and-tenon joins, using industrial-strength adhesive, and creating a frame meant to stand the test of time.
