Sharp, sophisticated, soothing and sexy – these are a few words that perfectly describe a red-themed décor. Red is the colour of love and passion, and it also expresses anger and aggressiveness. Though red colour has an ability to blend with any other colour effortlessly, we still need to be careful about when it is too much and when it is not enough.

When you are in love with red, every red decorative will become your preference. While flourishing your home with this colour, make sure that you create an ambience that is balancing all the colours of the room, or you can use red as a highlight.

The all red-themed décor in the living room of Rajeev Sharma is worth appreciating. He infused the warmth of solid wood and added some more shades of red with Reid coffee table. The coffee table comes with four stools, and here these stools create a balance between solid reds and prints.

He also bought a Marriott 3-seater sofa with a combination of the same solids and prints in a honey finished frame. He says, “The furniture goes perfectly with the ambiance of my living room. I am quite happy with everything, from furniture to the expert delivery guys. “

Crating a small red nook in your bedroom is a good idea of infusing a bit of this colour without overdoing it. Pratibha from New Delhi added Dwayne Low Floor 2-seater sofa in the corner of her bedroom. Upholstered in dusky rose fabric, the seat and cushions of this sofa add a pop of red colour in her reading nook.

If you are not bold enough to add too much of red to your décor, then adding a bit of red through some prints is good idea. When you add a lounge chair or an ottoman in printed red fabric, you get a fresh pop of red without disturbing the other colours of the room.

Adding a bench in your living space is an intelligent and cost-effective way to increase the sitting space. Varsha, who resides in Bangalore, bought an Allan Bench with backrest for her living room. She paired the walnut finish with red cushions to continue the traditional feel of the room.

This modern kitchen of the Samuel household sticks out with the mostly-neutral palette and lets pops of red stand out through the seat cushions. They bought a 6-seater dining table set with bench for their dining room. While the contemporary design of the table matches their modern décor, the red seats are balancing it out perfectly.
